How to Create Your First Form in Typerson

Building your first form in Typerson takes about two minutes. This guide walks you through everything from creating your account to getting your first response.

Sign Up and Create an Organization

Head to typerson.com/signup and create your account with email or Google. Once you're in, you'll be asked to create an organization. This is just a workspace for your forms. Name it after your company, your team, or whatever makes sense for you.

Create a New Form

From your dashboard, click the "New Form" button. You can start from scratch or pick one of the templates. Templates are pre-built for common use cases like contact forms, feedback surveys, and lead capture. For this guide, let's go with a blank form.

Give your form a name and an optional description. The description shows up at the beginning of the form as a welcome screen, so use it to tell people what the form is about.

Add Your Questions

Click "Add Question" to start building. Pick from question types like short text, long text, email, multiple choice, dropdown, rating, number, date, and more. Each question becomes its own screen in the conversational flow.

You can drag questions to reorder them. The form preview on the right updates in real time so you can see exactly what it will look like.

Preview Your Form

Click the preview button to see your form the way respondents will see it. Go through the whole thing and make sure the question order feels natural, the required fields make sense, and the language sounds right. Small tweaks at this stage make a big difference.

Publish and Share

When you're happy with your form, click "Share" in the top menu. You'll get a direct link you can send to anyone, plus embed options for your website. The direct link works great for sharing via email, social media, or messaging apps. Copy it, paste it, and you're live.

Check Your Responses

As responses come in, you'll see them in the Responses tab of your form. Typerson shows you each response with timestamps and all the answers in order. You can also connect Google Sheets to automatically sync every new response to a spreadsheet.
